This AMD "Never Settle" thing looks pretty tempting.

Right now, Newegg has a SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB card for $290 with a $20 mail-in rebate. $270 is already a pretty solid price for a 7950, but when you throw in Far Cry 3, Hitman: Absolution, and Sleeping Dogs (not to mention 20% off Medal of Honor: Warfighter), this deal gets straight up ridiculous.

Im seriously thinking about trading up from my 1GB 560 Ti. Sure, were near the end of a GPU generation, but that bundle is insane. Plus, 1GB of VRAM is starting to cramp my style a little bit, so the move to 3GB would open up some more options for the future.

Gaming at 2560x1440? Yes please.

This is an amazing deal.

OfficeMax currently has the CM Storm QuickFire Rapid mechanical keyboard on sale for $65 (regularly $75). Promo code BIGDEALS takes the price down to $52, and OfficeMax is offering free shipping today on orders over $20. Its important to note that this keyboard is fully mechanical--some more expensive "gaming" keyboards only use mechanical switches for half of the keys (Corsair Vengeance) or forgo mechanical switches completely (Logitech, Mad Catz, etc).

The product page states that this is a QuickFire Pro, but the product picture and product code both indicate that its a QuickFire Rapid. OfficeMax also has the more-expensive QuickFire Pro available for $85, which should come down to $68 with the promo code applied. The Pro version takes the features of the Rapid keyboard and adds a numpad, N-key rollover over USB, and partial backlighting around the WASD area of the keyboard.

Im currently using a QuickFire Rapid with Cherry MX Blues and I love it. Mechanical keys feel much better under finger (in my opinion) than a standard rubber dome key, which tends to feel a little mushy. The responsiveness and tactile feedback of the keys is pretty fantastic. One caveat: mechanical keyboards tend to be much louder than their standard counterparts, especially MX Blues. I wear around-ear headphones 99% of the time when Im on my PC so the noise doesnt bother me, but its borderline deafening with the headphones off. The OfficeMax product page doesnt specify which type of switches are included; the standard original release used MX Blues, so Id bet on those.

If youre near a Best Buy or similar store, you can test out the feel and sound of MX Blues on a Razer Blackwidow. Make sure to do yourself (and your wallet) a favor by not buying anything while youre there.

The Mechanical Keyboard Guide on Overclock.net is a must-read if youre new to mechanical keyboards. If youre interested in taking the plunge but worried about the noise, there are things like O-ring dampeners that you can add to your keys to lessen some of the impact noise. On the plus side, the actuation point of the keys lies in the middle of the keypress; if you can avoid "bottoming out" while typing you can avoid the noise of the key impacting the base of the keyboard.

If youre at all interested in stepping up to a mechanical keyboard, this is a deal to seriously consider. 50 bucks for a fully-mechanical Cherry MX keyboard is straight up ridiculous.

Burnout Paradise is arguably worth 10 bucks by itself as it easily offers 15-20 hours of gameplay, but the rest of the games are no slouch. Metro 2033 is an entertaining survival/semi-horror FPS set in the Moscow subway system. A nuclear war forces everyone to abandon the post-apocalyptic landscape above ground and retreat into the metro. Deal Alert Battlefield Games for 10 Bucks

Battlefield turns 10 this year, and today in particular marks the 10-year anniversary of Battlefield 1942s release in Europe. To celebrate, the Origin store has a bunch of BF games available for $10.

For something like Battlefield 3, this is great - youre getting a popular, modern shooter for 10 bucks. Some of the rest of the deals make me wonder, though.

The Digital Deluxe edition of Bad Company 2 is available for $10 and includes BC2 and the Vietnam expansion. For the same $10, you can also get the vanilla Bad Company 2 or the Vietnam expansion separately. Forgive me for saying that this pricing is as stupid as it is cute.

Rounding out the sale are BF 2142 Deluxe and BF2 Complete with each available for, you guessed it, $10.

The value of some of these games is questionable, as a lot of them dont contain single-player campaigns and multiplayer may or may not be very populated. The Steam statistics page shows Bad Company 2 as having 700-1000 concurrent users, while Xfire shows Battlefield 3, Battlefield 2, and Bad Company 2 as the 8th, 35th, and 46th-most-popular games, respectively. As a reminder, these numbers depict both single-player and multi-player gameplay and dont represent the total number of users, but they offer pretty decent view of a games activity level.

Just saw this deal on reddit and figured it warranted a post of its own here. GameStop is currently having a "Top 100 under $10" digital download sale. A lot of the deals are pretty mediocre, but one that stood out was the Deus Ex: Human Revolution Augmented Edition for $5.99.

I just picked up a copy myself. The purchase requires you to download and install the GameStop App in order to download the game and/or snag the CD key, but thankfully the app doesnt look that bad. DE: HR also activates on Steam if you want to bypass the GS App altogether, but again youll need to install it to initially get the key.
