Debbie have you seen Tara Lazars NORMAL NORMAN
Debbie have you seen Tara Lazars NORMAL NORMAN
A reader wrote to me about Tara Lazar and S. britts picture book, Normal Norman. Published in March of 2016 by Sterling Childrens Books, heres the synopsis:
What is "normal?" Thats the question an eager young scientist, narrating her very first book, hopes to answer. Unfortunately, her exceedingly"normal" subjectan orangutan named Normanturns out to be exceptionally strange. He speaks English, sleeps in a bed, loves his stuffed toy, goes bananas over pizza, and even deep-sea dives! Oh, no: whats a "normal" scientist to do? A humorous look at the wackiness that makes us all special and a gentle reminder that "normal" cant ever be defined! The reader noted a page in the book where a bear is playing with puppets... one of whom is an Indian. Heres that image:

Why is that puppet there? When I get to a bookstore or library, Ill see if I can figure it out.
