The main way to unlock all the costumes in the game is to beat story mode for every character on the various difficulty levels. Most characters require beating the game on Normal or Hard in order to unlock their costumes. There is an easier, faster way to avoid this entirely in Dead or Alive 2 Ultimate. Play through each characters storyline on easy, except Leon. Play through Leon on normal. You will now have all the characters unlocked. Play through survival mode on easy with enemy health set at the lowest possible setting. Collect all 66 different items dropped by enemies defeated in survival mode. Once all 66 are unlocked, you will have all the costumes as well. You need to use every character at least once to do this. Each character has three unique items, which can easily be found in one survival mode playthrough.

It may be frustrating to locate all of the animals that a map provides. With the "Aliens" cheat, players can bring up all of the animals on the map with their GPS. While playing the game, press the tilde key to bring up the cheat menu. Enter in "/cheat aliens" and press the "Enter" key. All of the animals will now be seen on the map.

Of all the perspectives in the game, a bullets view may be one of the more interesting vantage points. The "Bullet Cam" cheat provides that view. While playing the game, press the tilde key to bring up the cheat menu. Enter in "/cheat matrix" and press the "Enter" key. The "Bullet Cam" will now be accessible.

A full-screen thermal view for the player can provide not only a different experience but one similar to the alien creature of the "Predator" films. While playing the game, press the tilde key to bring up the cheat menu. Enter in "/cheat predator" and press the "Enter" key. You will now be able to access the Thermal View in full screen.
